My name is Stephen Pacarynuk. I moved to Edmonton in 1985 after graduating from Okanagan College with a Diploma in Computer Informations Systems.

For the next 15 years I worked for three companies and held various jobs. I have been a computer programmer, computer systems analyst,a CADD/CAM systems specialist, a senior project analyst, a senior help desk analyst and systems administrator - although it wasn't my real job.

During that time I became accustomed to working for multiple clients with unique and often challenging needs. I learned to be flexible and to listen to my clients.

In January 1998 I started S.W. Consulting to take on contract work. For the next 20 months I worked with a team on a massive (2500+ workstations) migration project moving clients from numerous computer systems to one standard.

In September 1999 my wife - my partner in life and business - needed us to move to Winnipeg to complete her Masters degree.

When we returned to Edmonton in May 2000, I.T. was in a downturn due to the Y2K debacle. Large Businesses had blown their I.T. budgets making sure January 1st 2000 wasn't a disaster. I saw this as an opportunity to take my business in a new direction and
I began operating S.W. Consulting as an I.T. service for small business.

Since then I have worked with many small and home based businesses, some only once or twice to solve a specific problem, some for 5, 10 and more years. Throughout it all I have maintained my business while continuously upgrading my skills, I read constantly, watching for trends and learning new technology.

Today I maintain an array of PCs running Windows 10 for various clients. Most of my clients with Servers are now running Server Essentials 2016 which is a low cost easy to manage small business server O.S. I have clients running MS Exchange Online and Google Apps. I personally built and installed the majority of these systems.

I continue to enjoy my work and look forward to meeting new clients and taking
on new challenges.
